Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so, she must play a deadly game of deceit – and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords – and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas

I’d been putting off finishing this book for a while because I did not want it to end. But I found my lady balls and read those last 5 chapters and I will say this much: I AM A WRECK.

Sarah J Mass did not disappoint me. A Court of Wings and Fury was a spectacular read. My feelings were played with, I was crushed, scared and happy. I was a hot mess.

The growth of Feyre and her sisters. Of the Inner circle. The way each major character dealt with their pain. Sarah didn’t just erase it, write it off as if everything was okay because x and x happened. No. She made it a part of each character, made it something they live with and learn to overcome without pretending it was a small part of their story.

The one thing that took me by surprise was how I loved Nesta. NESTA for crying out loud. I am anticipating the Nessian novel, coveting it like Amren coveting blood and jewels.

The way the territories were painted, the inclusion of several races and identities, the insights to the side character’s lives, the way she paints these less than perfect characters; our less than perfect heroes. It was all amazing!

This book got five stars easy in the first half, but solidified my decision in the second. I know it will take me a while to recover from this book, to recover from knowing that Feysand’s story is done. But life goes on and ACOTAR has forever made itself a part of my favorite book series.

  1. The last five chapters literally GUTTED me. I made the terrible mistake of binging this during finals week when it came out and on my extra credit question for my playwriting class I literally wrote “Dr. Holland, Feysand is over and I am ruined by the work of Sarah J. Maas, I have no emotion left–what is life?” Needless to say I didn’t get the extra credit point but she did give me a chocolate bar cause she saw me clutching the book and understood 😂😂😂

Great Review Jeimy! I am so happy you loved this series!
