Book Blogger Hop: April 12th – 18th

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening fellow bookworms! For today’s post I’ll be taking part of the Book Blogger hop.

The Book Blogger Hop is a meme originally started by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books  and continued by coffeeaddictedwriter.com.

Today’s prompt was provided by Angelica @ Paperback Princess.

When reading a series, do you re-read the previous book/s before reading the newly released book?

I’m someone who likes to be immersed in her books when she reads but the answer to this question is sometimes. It really depends on what book series I’m reading and how apart I read the previous book/s.

If it’s been a while since I read the previous book/s then I read everything from the beginning to get myself mentally [or emotionally sometimes] prepared.

If it hasn’t been that long since I read the previous title/s then I will just hop right into the new release when it comes out.

What do you do when a new release in a series comes out? I would love to know, tag me on your post or comment below!

  1. I don’t think I’d have the patience to re-read the previous books when there is a fresh one standing on my desk hahaha. If they came very far apart I would probably refresh my memory by looking up the summary online.

  2. I completely ‘get’ where you are coming from. I rely on my notes and a few reviews (mine included) to jog my memory. Sometimes, I don’t even do that. I just jump right in!
