Book Blogger Hop: April 19th – 25th

For those of you who celebrate, Happy Easter! And for those who do not, Happy Sunday!

I hope you are all having a lovely start to this new week!

The Book Blogger Hop is a meme originally started by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books  and continued by

Today’s prompt was provided by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Review..

Do you check how many views your posts have received?

As someone who is new to blogging, I have a tendency to check my stats every day. I want to see how many visitors my blog has brought in and how many of those visitors turned to views. Then how many of those views were from my followers.

I’m a bit stat obsessed; I honestly blame it on managing retail for so many years. However, I don’t fuss over low views. I know there can be many factors in play that might affect the numbers.

I look at each visitor as a customer. If the numbers on the main page differ from the numbers in the post, it makes me think of what I can do to engage those people. How can I get them to move beyond the landing page and convert them into a viewer and ultimately, a follower.

Keeping up with how many views posts receive allows me to gauge what type of content I should be pushing out more/seem to interest people. It also motivates me to better my next post.

Do you keep track of your views? Let me know in the comments or link me on your post!
