Down the TBR Hole: Chapter 7

Happy Hump day fellow bookworms!

Today, I’m taking it back to a bookish tag that I’ve neglected in the last month. My TBR is looking a little scary right now. I feel like it’s become sentient and started to add books to itself on its own!

Especially with all my favorite authors having book releases in 2020! Seriously! A girl can hardly wait until 2019 is over!

Down The Tbr Hole

The book tag was originally created by Lia, formerly @ Lost in a Story.

For those of you who haven’t taken a look or participated, here’s the breakdown:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

This is a process that we (I) will be doing every so often meaning that we (I) have to keep track of where we (I) ended and where we (I) will move forward from. From what I’ve seen many book bloggers have chosen their own intervals but many have done it in intervals of 5. For example Week 1 we (I) will do book/s 1-5 on the TBR list. Then Week 2 will be 6-10 and so on.

This will continue until the whole TBR list is filtered through, leaving only the books you (I) actually plan to read.

  1. Ruined (Ruined #1) by Amy Tintera

Have I ever told you guys that I am absolute garbage for Enemies to Lovers romance? No? Well, I’m telling you now. I have a weak spot for this troupe. I real sore weak spot. Add Deception and risk to it? I’m sold faster than Elotes on a saturday night.

Needless to say, Ruined will stay on my TBR list.

2. The Falconer by Elizabeth May

I’ve heard so much about this book over the years and two of my favored authors have given it stellar reviews. TWO. So its only natural that I keep it. 🙂

3. The Glass Casket by McCormick Templeman

I always had mixed feelings with this one. The excerpt kind of interests me and it kind of doesnt at the same time. I love the cover….but I don’t think I’ll ever get around to reading it.

4. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan

Reading the excerpt now….I don’t think I would enjoy this book.

5. The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson

I’ve seen book reviewers give mixed reviews on this one. Sarah J Maas ever gave it 5 stars.

I’ve had this book in my TBR pile for a while and reading the excerpt, I’m on the fence about it. I guess, I’ll keep it until next month and decide whether it will be something I’d be interested in reading.

Overall Verdict: 2/5 books will be kept1/5 possible rainy day2/5 books will be removed

What books have you read on this list? Did you enjoy them?

  1. I’ve read Unspoken and I adore it, but as with any and all books it’s a matter of taste/mood/etc, so… still, if the summary doesn’t pique your interest, it’s probably not a book for you.
