August Wrap Up

August Monthly Update

Happy Saturday Bookworms and Planner Babes!

Slow-Burn August has come to a close and I am whole-heartedly ready for the fall season!!!

Crunchy leaves, sweater weather, cute boy-next door/girl next-door romances, cinnamon spiced coffee and most of all HALLOWEEN!!! Fall is my favorite season and I have many ideas for cute little book tags to share with you guys.

With the soon-arrival of Fall, comes Bookending Fall 2019!!

If you haven’t participated in a previous Bookending event, I highly recommend you do. You get to meet so many friendly and amazing like-minded people. I participated in the Bookending Spring event and hosted in the Bookending Summer event; both events really helping me shape who I want to be as a bookish blogger.

Unfortunately, as I am in the process of moving into a new apartment I won’t be hosting in the Bookending Fall event BUT I will definitely keep an eye out for the participation sign up!

August Recap

As mentioned in the July Recap, your girl went ahead and subscribed to herself to her first ever book box subscription, BaeCrate.

I waited all month for the box to get here and when it finally did, it was beyond my expectations. The special edition hard cover book that it came with was….there are very few words to describe how beautiful it is.

Coding:

Since July went well with Camp Nanowrimo, I decided to give myself something else to work on in August. Using Camp Nanowrimo as a template, I set myself a goal of finishing one FullStack project.

No, I can’t hack. But I can make beautiful websites and apps ๐Ÿ˜

After a few days of procrastination and battling impostor syndrome, I finally put myself to the task of starting the project. I managed to build a Log In page with Authentication using MERN!

But there’s a bug in my code and it doesn’t work!
