BOOKENDING AUTUMN 2019: Fall Festival Book Photo Tag

BEAUTUMN1: Fall Festival Book Photo Tag

Hello beautiful bookworms! Fall has semi-arrived here in the northeast; the temperatures have been dropping to comfortable low 60’s and I am thriving in it!

I was tagged for today’s Bookending Fall post by the amazing Fictionally Sam (she’s literally read my thoughts because I had this post pre-written and then BAM she tagged me)

The creative mind behind this post is Danielle @ PoetryBooksYA! Don’t forget to head over to her blog to check out the original prompt and while you’re add it, check out her other amazing posts!

Prompt

Fall Festival Book Photo Tag

Using fall colors (red, orange, black, white, green) and books you have read or want to read during the fall.

HEY! WHERES THE IMAGE?

The image will come soon! Currently all my babies books are in boxes as I am moving in about a week to a new apartment! I appreciate your patience in the meanwhile ❤ I promise there will be a picture!

Chilly – Book with a white cover (sad plot line/setting)

Hmm…I only have one book with a white cover and it’s plot isn’t very sad.

The book is called Stitching Snow by R.C Lewis. It’s a Snow White retelling that I bought alongside A Court Of Thorns and Roses about two years ago.

Sweet – Book with an orange cover (favorite contemporary novel)

Okay, confession time. It looks my life choice of liking black (I wear black everyday) has trickled into my selection of books….

While I don’t have a book with the color orange in it, my favorite contemporary novel that left me feeling gooey and mushy inside is The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata.

Spicy – Book with a red cover (action/fast-paced setting)

House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City) by Sarah J Maas. MURDER? Check. MYSTERY? Check. PROMISE OF ACTION? Check!

From the excerpt, Maas seems to be taking us into a more modern world that promises to be as action packed as her last two. I cannot wait for release day and find out what adventure we are going on next!

Dark – Book with a black or dark cover (dark, twisted theme)

Although I didnt enjoy her Shadow and Bone series, The Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo is one on my TBR that has recently caught my eye.

The story follows Galaxy Stern a twenty-year-old double homicide survivor who got the chance of a lifetime. Acceptance into Yale, one of the most prestigious universities in the country. Without answers as to what it cost her, Alex arrives at her new home in New Haven with the order to monitor the secret societies that exist within the University’s activities. What she wasn’t prepared for was just how sinister their occult activities were and what dark forces they have stirred.

Green – Book with a green cover that makes you feel jealous

Sam said A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas already so I’ll say

Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas

Who wouldn’t want a Rowan of their own? Even as mean as he is in this book.

If you have any recommendations for books with colorful covers, please comment them below! As you can see, my collection is pretty monotone!

  1. OMG YES!!! I found myself nodding to all of your answers! Dude the find an orange cover was literally the HARDEST thing ever until I remembered I had WDMR in the very back lmao. Also I totally swooned at Wall of Winnipeg being chosen.

Complete side note that probably does not relate to this post at all but YOLO: HAVE YOU READ THE BEST THING YET?!
