Pumpkin Spice Latte: A book you didn’t think you’d love
To All the Boys I've Loved Before

I had this book on my TBR for a realllllllyyyyyy long time. I was on the fence about it.

I liked the author but the sypnopsis seemed cheesy. Was I ready to read all that cheese?

Apparently, in May of this year (2019) I was ready to read all the cheese. AND IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!!!!

Hot Apple Cider: A book that got you a bit hot under the collar
A Court of Mist and Fury

I was constantly sweating with this book…..I lived in Orlando at the time and the heat that this book brought plus the weather down there……..

I was Sweaty Betty.

This book had one of the hottest scenes I had read at the time and I spent a whole week just pink in the cheeks.

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate: A book that felt like a warm hug
Red, White and Royal Blue

This book was too sweet for words.

It hurt my heart with how sweet it was.

Maple Pecan Latte: A book you enjoyed that was hard to get into
Daughter of Smoke and Bone

I must’ve started this book like 8 times in the last 4 years. Idk why it was so hard for me to get into it.

Maybe it was because I was not ready to be lead on the adventure this series took me. I wasn’t really into epic tales where the MC didn’t end up with the first love interest.

Maybe it was because I loved Dorian and Chaol got in the way and I hated that…..

But I’m glad I gave this book another shot in the beginning of this year. I led me to read the rest of the series and the roller coaster of emotions were well worth it.

London Fog: A vanilla character
Shadow and Bone

Schuyler Van Alen.

I’m okay with MC that aren’t strong. That are delicate girls because there are some girls out there like that.

But Schuyler……was so worthless……

She had so much potential and but her focus was Jack, a boy who is in a semi-relationship with his twin (????)

Hot Buttered Rum: A book that was velvety smooth to read
The Wicked Deep

Graceling was a complete delight to read. It was an smooth fantasy novel and had an ending that is not common in romance novels.

Everything about this book was like a breath of fresh air when I read it.

Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew: A character whose temperament is icy cold
A Thousand Perfect Notes

Tristan Montigny.

I wanted to punt that guy for the first 80% of the book.

Salted Caramel Mocha: A book that you’re salty about
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

I feel like this book was completely unnecessary and it overwrites many of the things that we loved from the original series.

There are many things I was unhappy about with JK Rowling. This one was among the top.

Honey Bee Latte: A character who is sweet
The Upside of Unrequited

Can Mr. Cameron Hamilton come to the stage?

Cameron Hamilton was a sweet sweet boy who needed to be protected at all costs.

All the good men exist in books, dont they?

Gingerbread Latte: A character you’d take home for Christmas

Azriel.

I would take Azriel home for Christmas and none of you can convince me otherwise!

  1. I 1000% agree about Cursed Child being unnecessary!! (I’m sure the play is very good, but it may as well be a whole different set of characters because Volde would NEVER have had a child… he was too focused on himself and his selfishness)
