BESUMMER19: Lemonade Stand Book Tag

Hello and Welcome fellow bookworms! Bookending Summer is in full swing! The weather has been gorgeous as of late and although I haven’t had time to go to the beach/ lake yet, I’ve been enjoying the sun rays on my skin.

I’ll be kicking off the second week of BESUMMER19 with an original book tag, Lemonade Stand! It is a short little tag I came up with while…can you guess? Yes, Drinking lemonade! 😂

Before we get started, if you still haven’t signed up for Bookending Summer 2019 or the Tidyathon, there is still time! I highly encourage you to join such great events that are designed to bring the book community together!

Lemonade Stand

Sour – Name a Character that left a sour taste in your mouth.

Finn Holmes from the Trylle Series by Amanda Hopkins.

I couldn’t stand Finn! He was so selfish and only when things got tough did he act! I went through the whole series just puckering my lips anytime he was involved.

Semi – Name a scene that was bitter-sweet.

The most recent book that I could think of with a Bitter Sweet ending is A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sara J Maas.

War affect so many characters and although our heroes prevailed, it wasn’t without a great cost. Their wounds run deep and the one thing I love about the series is that it doesn’t shy away from them. Sarah finishes the series with a small glimmer of hope for reconstructing the future and themselves but the darkness of what had happen is still there.

Sweet – Name a book ending that was too sweet for words.

Wait for It by Mariana Zapata

The ending was too cute! There were tears in my eyes!

Slushie – Name a book that was completely refreshing

Kimi Ni Todoke by Karuho Shiina* [All current Volumes]

Kimi Ni Todoke is one of those manga that are sweet, light, and refreshing. The highschool drama is still there but it isn’t as pronounced as other Shoujo mangas which is a nice change.

I tag you!

I would love to see your answers! Post them below in the comments or drop the link to your post!

Thank you so much for reading! ❤
