A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas
Hope warms the coldest night.
Feyre, Rhys, and their close-knit circle of friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly-changed world beyond. But Winter Solstice is finally near, and with it, a hard-earned reprieve.
Yet even the festive atmosphere can’t keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, she finds that those dearest to her have more wounds than she anticipated–scars that will have far-reaching impact on the future of their Court.
I don’t know what I would’ve done if Sarah J Maas hadn’t written this book. A Court of Wings and Ruin left me emotional and the millions of questions I had were consuming me.
A Court of Frost and Starlight is the glimpse I needed to the AFTER. Maas allows us to see how our favorite characters (and Tamlin) are dealing with the aftermath of the war. We see how they are trying to heal and if you are Nesta, trying to forget.
The inner circle is trying to grasp at whatever happiness they can so they can learn to heal and move on.
I enjoyed how the book was written in several perspectives allowing us to see things from each of the characters view. I do wish she had given Azriel a chapter…even Elain. [I am now an Elzriel shipper]
Nesta and Cassian’s chapters turned out to be my favorite ones. I am highly anticipating their book; I cannot wait to see Nesta’s journey.
Overall, The novel is a 5/5 for me. It was the perfect semi-closure to Feyre and Rhysand’s story that I needed.
